Her music has been featured at Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s MusicNOW, TIME:SPANS, New York City Electronic Music Festival, Boulanger Initiative’s WoCo Fest, and Experimental Sound Studio. Brittany holds a PhD in music composition from Duke University.

I wrote this piece at a time where I found myself thinking a lot about what it means to show up for those close to us and the promise we make to those that we love — to hold their hand through the darkest hours, even when it hurts to not look away. This piece is inspired by that promise, the promise to carry each other when we've given all the fight we have left. The promise to see each other through from this plane to the next. The promise to carry each other through the waters of life.
