Pre-college and Adult Private Lessons

Dr. Stevens teaches a select group of private students. With 20 years of experience teaching students ranging from complete beginners to competition-level students, Mark can design programs of study to fit students of any age and ability.

Mark teaches beginning piano students as young as age 5. His unique approach mixes traditional method books with technique, improvisation, and supplemental materials. Students gain a strong understanding of music's building blocks while developing skills that help them far exceed the pace of traditional methods, transitioning into the wonderful and diverse world of piano music. Students explore a variety of composers and genres, tailored to each student's interests.
